Checking packaging and authenticity

Simple checks when receiving medicine from any supplier.

Check that the pack is sealed, the printing is consistent, and the batch number and expiry date are present. The leaflet, active ingredient and strength should match the product you were prescribed.

Do not use damaged, unlabelled or suspicious medicine. A licensed pharmacist or local medicines regulator can advise on verification and safe disposal.
