VGR 50 and VGR 100: an overview

What the two labelled strengths mean and why individual assessment matters.

This educational material does not replace advice from a doctor or pharmacist. Do not start, stop, or change a prescription medicine without professional guidance.

VGR 50 and VGR 100 indicate two different labelled strengths of the same product range. A larger number is not automatically a better choice; suitability depends on the prescribed medicine, health history, other medicines and a clinician’s assessment.

Check the official patient leaflet and packaging supplied with the medicine. If the active ingredient, manufacturer or registration details are unclear, ask a licensed pharmacist before use.
